Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year! Our commitment at Sreekrishna Higher Secondary School is to provide a safe and intellectually challenging environment that will empower students to become innovative thinkers, creative problem solvers and inspired learners prepared to thrive in the twenty-first century. High standards and expectations for each student in regard to academic performance, co-curricular participation, and responsible citizenship are the foundation of our school. It is with pride that we hold these high standards and ask each of our students to commit to maintaining the extraordinary record of achievement and contribution that has been the legacy of Sreekrishna Higher Secondary School students. It is the contribution of our students to our school community that makes Sreekrishna Higher Secondary School an exceptional learning community. HISTORY.

Nallepilly was agricultural land under old Cochine. Two schools (L.P & U.P) were established for the progress in education before independence. People depended the schools in Chittur for high school education. Most of the people of Eastern province stopped their studies due to lack of facilities. A kind hearted person Sri N.S Krishnaayyar realising pathetic situation of the people started the eight standard in the agraharam in 1941 Sri. Krishnanunni Valiya Mannadiar, a member of Chondath family realised the urgent need of a high school in Nallpelly gave free land and in 1942 foundation stone laid for the present Sree Krishana High School. The inauguration of the school building was done by the director of education I.N Menon ( M.A B Lit ) (OX) in 1943. The frame of the school was enriched by Sri. Raveendranath ( I.P.S ), Sri. N.V Krishnan ( I.A.S ) etc. In 1972 Tamil medium was introduced and hostel services were provided. The school started its victorious journey with 23 divisions and more than 1000 students.

Success Stories

During the academic year 2009-2010 the school became the best in district level and was awarded Rs. 10,000 by State Water Authority and Malayalamanorama for the programme “Palathully Peruvellam” received by the head master C.S Gopakumar and co-ordinator Smt A.I Devika. .Read More.

RULES AND REGULATIONS

School follows strict rules and regulations with the help of P.T.A and Teachers.

  • Morning session 9.00 a.m. to 12.45 p.m. Afternoon session 1.30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. with 45 minutes lunch break. Office hours will be 9.00 a.m to 4.00 p.m.
  • The school uniform is compulsary on class days and at school functions. Pupils must come to school clean and tidy.
  • Pupils are responsible for safe custody of their own books & belongings.
  • Any damage done to school property or to that of other students will have to be made good.
  • Cleanlines of person and clothes is expected from every child. Those who come to School with untidy dress, hair etc. will be refused sit in classrooms.
  • No child suffering from any contagious or infectious disease will be allowed to attend the school.
  • School Premises to be kept clean, no throwing waste or things around.
  • No books, newspapers or periodicals other than school books may be brought in to the classes.
  • Pupils from one class are not allowed to be in other class room during the interval.
  • Pupils should be simple and modest in their dress. Gold ornaments should not be used. Avoid fancy articles except wrist watch.
  • Leave from the class must be obtained by a written, application from parents or guardians.
  • Attendance of the pupil for school functions like School Day, Sports Day, Republic Day, Independence Day etc. are compulsory.
  • All parents are expected to take the membership in Parent Teacher Association. Parents are expected to co-operate with the school authorities by enforcing regularity and discipline and by seeing that their children prepare their lessons.
  • Parents are particularly expected to sign the progress reports,examination reports or any other document when so requested. Failure to do this may bring their children to great inconvenience.
  • Parents are specially requested to notify the school any change of address & Telephone number.
  • When communicating with the school authorities, parents are requested to mention in their letters the name, class & section of their child.
  • Parents, Guardians and other persons are not allowed to see their children or interview the teachers during school hours without the permission of the Principal.
  • Parents are requested to read and observe all the rules of the school.
  • Parents can meet Teachers on every day 9.30 to 10.30 a.m.
  • Cancellation in enrollment to Dance, Music, Transportation etc. should be obtained with prior written permission from the Principal.
  • No Mobiles to be brought to school. Parents should Check & Confirm it. School will not be responsible for any consequences.
  • All students are expected to follow Library rules. Acts of misconduct during Library and PT period will be handled in a strict way.
